Applications Open for new Youth Empowerment Grants
The Federal Labor Government is focusing on community safety and youth empowerment with the launch of the Youth Empowerment Grants program.
Member for Dobell and Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Emma McBride MP, is encouraging local community organisations to apply.
Applications are now open for this exciting initiative which aims to empower young people by providing opportunities to develop skills, build connections, and contribute positively to their communities.
Grants range from $300,000 to $1 million, with the program supporting innovative projects that inspire young people and help them thrive.
Eligible activities under the program include:
- Awareness campaigns and programs to encourage positive behaviours
- Initiatives promoting healthy decision-making and community engagement
- Workforce preparation and vocational skills development
- Programs that build personal growth and resilience
Applications for the Youth Empowerment Grants program close at 5:00 PM AEDT on 28 January 2025.
