Certificates of Appreciation
It is a privilege to help recognise the service and sacrifice of veterans in our community through the Australian Government’s Certificate of Appreciation program.
This certificate is a formal expression of the nation’s gratitude and honours:
-
Veterans who served overseas from the Second World War onwards, and
-
Those who contributed through home front service during the Second World War.
The Certificate of Appreciation may be presented to eligible veterans, or to the family of a deceased veteran, as a lasting and meaningful acknowledgement of their service.
It is commemorative in nature and does not influence eligibility for veterans’ benefits.
How to apply
My office is pleased to coordinate applications for Certificates of Appreciation on behalf of eligible constituents.
To begin, applicants must assess their or their family member’s eligibility and complete the official Department of Veterans’ Affairs application form, available on the DVA website.
Once the completed form is provided to my office, we will assist with processing the application and arranging the issue of the certificate.
