Inquiry into Centrelink Robo-Debt debacle

April 10, 2017

Following Labor's calls, the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs will hold hearings across the country into the Centrelink Robo-Debt debacle.

Hundreds of local people received incorrect debt notices, and found it distressing to have it resolved. While the Inquiry is welcome, the robo-debt debacle should never have happened. It’s important the Government hears the impact it has had on people.

Emma has met with organisations, like community legal centres and neighbourhood centres, who helped people clear their debt. They told her it has been a harrowing experience for people. If you or anyone you know has been affected, please contact the office on 43530127.
