The electorate of Dobell covers the northern half of the Central Coast.
Its boundary stretches from Wamberal, Wyoming and Lisarow at one end, to Toukley, Charmhaven and Blue Haven at the other. It also extends west to include the townships of Kulnura, Cedar Brush Creek, Dooralong and Jilliby.
The seat is named after Sir William Dobell, who was a prominent Australian artist.
As a coastal region, tourism and small business are key drivers of the local economy.
Emma McBride is a member of the Australian Labor Party and was elected as the Member for Dobell on the 2nd of July, 2016.
